Samyojak
Guest check-in for hotels in Nepal

Your guest fills in the register. From their own phone.

Reception watches it appear line by line, checks it against the passport, and signs. No clipboard going back and forth, no retyping it afterwards, no handwriting nobody can read six months later.

A stay of nought nights is a real stay — a guest who leaves the day they arrive, or a hall booked for an afternoon. It occupies its one date and bills as one day.
How it works

Six steps, and the guest does the typing.

The order matters: nobody can start typing before reception has opened a check-in, and nothing is filed before someone has looked at the passport.

  1. Reception starts a check-in

A code appears on the screen at the desk. It lasts minutes, not days.

  2. The guest scans it

The form opens on their phone. If the camera will not focus, reception reads out six characters instead.

  3. They fill it in

In their own language, at their own speed, while they find their passport. A party of six is six sets of details, not six forms.

  4. Reception watches it appear

The same form, live, on the desk screen. Room, rate and notes are reception’s side of it.

  5. Both sides confirm

The guest confirms the record is correct. Reception confirms it matches the documents. Neither tick can be given for the other.

  6. It is filed, and it prints

A registration form that looks the same from the desk machine as from a phone, because it is built as a document rather than a screenshot of a page.

Filling it in together

Six people, one form, all at once.

A party arrives and the register goes round the group one person at a time, while reception waits and the queue behind them grows. Here everyone opens the same form on their own phone and fills in their own line. Nobody waits for the clipboard.

One document, not a copy each

Two people typing in different rows do not overwrite each other, and neither has to wait for the other to put it down. There is no lock to be stuck behind and no last-save-wins.

Reception is writing in it too

Room, rate and meal plan are the desk’s side of the same form, filled in while the guests are still typing theirs — so by the time the last passport is out, the record is finished.

A lost signal is not a lost form

A phone that drops out behind thick walls keeps what was typed and rejoins where it left off. Guests are on their own data in a lobby and this happens constantly.

The party sees only their own

Each form is one document with its own name, and the code that opens it names that document and no other. A guest cannot wander into the check-in at the next desk.

What you are trusting us with

A guest register is not ordinary data.

It holds passport numbers, and it is a document your guests and the authorities can ask you to produce. Here is what we do about that.

Added to, never overwritten

A correction is an amendment: it carries a reason and the values before and after, and it prints alongside the record. The database account the software uses is not permitted to delete a row.

Your hotel is its own address

Every hotel gets its own subdomain, so your pages, your sessions and your in-progress forms share nothing with another hotel in the browser at your desk.

Adding a hotel is not a release

Your name, colours, rooms, currencies and check-in times are settings, read fresh every time the page loads. Changing them does not wait on us shipping anything.

Backups we cannot delete either

Written with credentials that can add and not remove, kept where the server cannot reach them, and restored on a schedule to check they are real. A backup nobody has restored is a hypothesis.

Getting started

We set it up, and you keep your register.

Onboarding is a conversation, not a signup form — we create your hotel, your rooms and your first account, and train the desk. If you ever leave, your register leaves with you in a format you can read.
